We leave Olinda this morning to continue our way up the northeast coast of Brazil.  The drive is not too long and we reach the beach town of Praia da Pipa (Kite Beach) just before 2 PM.  We once again have some problems with accommodation.  The campsite has been closed and the pousadas can not take all of us.   So in the end, we decide to just camp in the car park.  It is actually not too bad.

In mid-afternoon we wander down to the beach for a swim.    The water is warm, the surf manageable and we enjoy the swim.  After the swim, we hang out on the beach, but the problem is that it is high tide and the water is slowly claiming the beach.  We make a strategic retreat to the bar, some others do not head the warnings of the locals and they (and their stuff) gets a soaking.

We return to the campsite for dinner and after cleaning up we just hang around and have a chat.  It is a very nice way to spend the evening under the clear night sky.  We observe how the night sky has changed as we have come so far north.
