Today we will take a cruise aboard a schooner in the bay and sea around Paraty.  After a quick breakfast, we head down to the pier and the schooner - the Francis Drake.  We motor, rather than sail, and cruise around the shore line near the town.  We stop at a number of beaches along the way, where we can jump off the boat and go for a swim, a snorkel or a wander on the beach.

The snorkeling is nothing special, but it is nice to get in the water and swim around.  Every once in a while, there was something on the bottom that we could dive down to and retrieve.  Often it was trash.

We had lunch on the boat - the crew cooked up nice meal of fish and rice.  It was excellent.  On the way back to the town we stopped of a few more times, but often we would just hang out on the boat taking it easy and relaxing.  We get back to the town at 4 PM and then a few of us decide to go to one of the cafes for a drink before heading back to the campsite.

Once back at the campsite, after a quick shower we organise and re-pack our stuff.  We will be heading into Rio tomorrow, where we will leave Priscilla and we have to take all our stuff off the truck.  After that we hang out and relax while dinner is being prepared.  After dinner, some of us head into town to get an ice cream and to just have a look around.  Having enjoyed our ice cream we head over to the main square to see what is happening - it is buzzing.  Just as we are about to leave, we notice one of our friends.  We can tell that he has had a bit too much to drink, so we stay behind with him and then help him back to the campsite.  This is not as easy as it sounds - the cobble stoned streets are a nightmare.  The stones are irregular and we are trying to help along someone who cannot help themselves.  Once back at the campsite, we put him to bed in his tent.
