Daily Journal Entry:

Another lazy morning.  We sleep in and watch the sunrise from our tent as we snooze.  After a quick breakfast and minor repairs to our tent, we spend the rest of the morning working on our journals.

After a quick lunch at the resort, we head back to the ocean for one more swim.  Again, we have a great time playing in the waves.  At mid-afternoon, we head off for Kakum National Park, via Cape Coast.  We stop in Cape Coast so that the cook group can do some shopping for our next meals.  While the cook group does their shopping, we walk around the town near the slave fort.

We get to the entrance to Kakum National Park at 5:30 PM, and they allow us to camp there.  In fact, they have recently completed a campsite about 500 meters into the rain forest.  We have to keep the truck and cooking stuff in the car park, but we hike into the campsite to set up our tent.  We head back to the truck to have dinner.

After dinner, we head back through the forest to the campsite, which is really just small shelters with no walls dotted around the forest area.  After getting into our tent and setting up our sleeping gear, we lay back and listen to all the forest noises - and it is quite noisy.  All types of sounds coming from all over.  A great way to fall asleep.
