Weather: Overcast, cool and rain.

We wake up to a miserable day.  It is raining very heavily, so we are very glad that we had arrived back a day earlier had done all the sightseeing yesterday.  Given the rain, we have a relaxing morning over breakfast and some slow packing of our stuff.  We had planned to go out for a walk and to get our last Mongolian food, but in the end we decide not to go out.  It is just raining too heavily and is not worth getting our shoes and clothes all wet.

Bolod helps us get a taxi around 12:30 and we are on our way to the train station.  While it is not a long distance, it takes some time due to the heavy traffic.  It is a bit ironic to leave this wide open country with our last memory being of awful traffic congestion, but that is what happens with progress and development in this modern world.

We arrive at the train station just before 1 PM and find our way onto the platform and station.  For some reason, the main doors are closed and we have to fight our way through the narrow cattle gates at each end.  The train will be departing from platform 1 - right next to the station, so we have no stairs to negotiate.  While Lars heads out to take some pictures, Jacqui gets a quick bite to eat.

After a short wait, the train pulls into the station, and we are able to board and settle into our compartment. Good thing we do not have as much luggage as others do.  This train has a first class car, so we have our own compartment to ourselves.  Train #005 departs right on time at ten minutes to two.
